“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”
Stavroula Borovich, who also goes by the nick name of Stav, is a self-taught artist. “I have always loved to sketch and paint, especially with watercolors, but it’s not until a few years ago that I decided to devote more time and energy in my artwork. I love creating something that other people can love and enjoy. Art can truly touch someone’s spirit in unimaginable ways and I love using my God-given talent to create artwork that can uplift.”
Stav was born and raised in the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. She attended college in the United States majoring in Business Administration. She is a wife and a mother of two; she and her family lived overseas, in New York and Vermont for many years before moving to Botetourt County. “We love Virginia and our new community. It’s so pretty here and we love being able to enjoy all 4 seasons and having easy access to major cities, the beach and the mountains.”
Stav loves to explore nature up close. “There is an abundance of natural beauty around us and I usually find myself drawing my inspiration from all of nature’s wonders.”
